Too Cool for School: Fred Flare
This holiday season, your deserve you a little fun.
These quirky items from Fred Flare are sure to put a smile on your face or friend. Fred Flare, based in New York, is full of home items, fashion, and pop art. Bring out your inner hipster slash geek and dig into this site. I know you don't need another item laying around the house, but I'm loving how useful a lot of these gag gifts are! The USB Tulip Hub is my absolute favorite. Will brighten up any desk in this cold holiday season.
Gift Card Worthy
Gift Cards always seem so impersonal, yet practical. Sometimes you just really don't know what to get someone or don't have the time to shop! Here's how to make a gift card a sweeter gift than a lazy gift.
1. Get a gift card to a store that the receiver truly enjoys going. Noticed his/her love for books and movies? Try Barnes & Noble. Show that you took a notice in their interests. Avoid the american express amount cards or general mall cards. Just give money if you're going that route.
2. Wrap it up pretty. Make the card unwrapping a little sweeter. Avoid the typical envelope. Try a clutch or small purse, add a bow and handmade tag, or place in small box and use fun wrapping paper.
3. Add a Bonus. Giving a Starbucks card? Buy a big, fun mug to go along with it, add a great book, or ipad. Hey, sky's the limit.
Here are a few of my gift card favorites: Victoria's Secret, Sephora, Barnes & Noble, and Paper Source. You can't go wrong with these fun stores!
