Hair Makeover Magic

If you think you're in need of a hollywood makeover, don't go farther than where your computer lies... InStyle has this fun hair application where you submit your photo and try on celebrity hairstyles. Talk about the good, bad, and ugly. However, most of all FUN!

I had the chance to try on Nicole Richie, Amy Adams, and Heidi Klum's hair. Ha ha. For some reason, red hair on me is quite good! Though, I enjoy my California beachy hair and will stick with my transition on going lighter! Just recently got my hair down in West Hollywood and loving it!

A girl’s favorite bar: The Dry Bar

I finally had to excuse to try this little gem of a place: The Dry Bar. I've been hearing about it for months when they opened the first one in Brentwood and now they have a Dry Bar in West Hollywood and Studio City! It's basically a girl's haven. Their slogan says it all. "No cuts, No color, Just Blow Outs" The best part you get a wash, blow out, and exceptional service all for $35. I visited the Studio City location and was blown away on how great they styled and branded this company. Perfection from the "menu" of hair services, gift cards, decor, playing Sarah Jessica Parker on the tele, kitchy phrases, to the potted succulents. I wish I could've shown my  "after" photo, but I was on my way to a shoot in Montecito (details later). Oh yes. Life of a model (jk).

Gift Card Worthy

Gift Cards always seem so impersonal, yet practical. Sometimes you just really don't know what to get someone or don't have the time to shop! Here's how to make a gift card a sweeter gift than a lazy gift.

1. Get a gift card to a store that the receiver truly enjoys going. Noticed his/her love for books and movies? Try Barnes & Noble. Show that you took a notice in their interests. Avoid the american express amount cards or general mall cards. Just give money if you're going that route.

2. Wrap it up pretty. Make the card unwrapping a little sweeter. Avoid the typical envelope. Try a clutch or small purse, add a bow and handmade tag, or place in small box and use fun wrapping paper.

3. Add a Bonus. Giving a Starbucks card? Buy a big, fun mug to go along with it, add a great book, or ipad. Hey, sky's the limit.

Here are a few of my gift card favorites: Victoria's Secret, Sephora, Barnes & Noble, and Paper Source. You can't go wrong with these fun stores!

Le Petite x2 Birthday Shout out!

Since everyone important to me seems to be a Libra I thought I would do a special shout out to my blog and business partner ERICA ESPANA!  She's inspired me to find fun ways to celebrate a birthday on a budget!

1. Best way to show a significant other you care is by cooking a special meal!  You can grocery shop ad find great deals at trader joe's whole foods and even fresh and easy! However, if your chef skills are at the beginner level like mine trick them into think you are a master chef with my favorite pre made meals Bertolli. They taste amazing and are IMPOSSIBLE to ruin!

2. So partying with friends can always be a great time, but lets be honest the hassle of finding a cute outfit, drinks  and cover charges can get just a little expensive!  So try something new and super fun, Midnight bowling!  bowling with your close girlfriends $5 drinks, and burgers sounds like beyond a budget friendly great birthday to me!

3. For those of us who want a super adventrous birthday and are willing to spend a little more cash indoor skydiving is your best option! Indoor skydiving combines the thrilling adrenaline rush of  skydiving without the danger of jumping out of the plane! the best of both worlds combo. Locations are popping up in Vegas, LA, and San Diego. This rapidly evolving trend is becoming a Hollywood must!

Maybe Erica and I should add this to our Le Bucket List?!

Everyone leave a comment and wish Erica a happy Birthday! 8)

Wedding Loves

As you know I work for a Wedding Coordinator and I'm constantly oooing and ahhhing over wedding blogs. The creativity, joy, and personal details are all so delightful. I cannot wait till the day where I can help plan someone's wedding and of course my own... Here are some decor items that have stored a place in my heart. They will find a way in my wedding that's for sure ;)

The hanging floral is super chic yet has the boho feel I love. Combined with a mason jar, the trio makes me swoon. Oh, my mason jar collection is growing quite nicely too. It's as start! The next photos are Papel Picado banners. They are Mexican paper cut art. I would love to bring a little of my culture into the design element as well. Don't worry plenty of Mexican food and margaritas will be present. I love how you can custom create the single leafs with your names and wedding date.  Last but not least is the bakers twine. I'm a big fan of stripes and zig zags and to see it incorporated with string is so simple and fun! Great for wrapping up stationary, packages, favors, etc. Especially love the mason jar lid striped fabric wrapped up with the twine. I'm noticing a theme!

delightful!

delightful!

Sources: {unknown} I'm usually good with this, but I'm always pulling photos into my inspiration folder from random wedding blogs & sometimes forget to name.

Have you seen this Envelope Liner Kit at Paper Source? It's the greatest thing and I want it so bad. This has been added to my "to buy" list at Paper Source, which is already forever long. The kit is to create liners for your envelopes. Liners are the inside fillers of your envelopes as shown below. The kit comes with different templates to fit the different sizes and most common envelopes. Scrounge up your favorite decorative paper and add a little spice to your note cards! Get creative with wrapping paper, photos, or even magazine clippings. Not sure how it works? Check out the how-to video on the Paper Source website.
