Happy Sushi Hours
New Sushi food pick: RA Sushi in Tustin. I first had my reservations about this place because of the reviews, but you know what this place deserves more credit! While not the best, definitely great for its happy hour prices and chic atmosphere. Happy Hour takes place Monday-Saturday from 3pm-7pm. I love the days/hours! The Happy Hour Menu has dirt cheap prices allowing you to order a great amount and stay under $25 for two! Even with drinks! Start off with some great appetizers like the Kaisen Ceviche or Vegetable/Shrimp Tempura. Then on to the must haves: Tootsy Maki, California Rolls, and Tuna Nigiri and you'll have a happy tummy.
Here's me & the love this past weekend at Ra. Another plus, located in a great shopping area and across the street from the movie theaters. We also saw Valentine's Day the Movie. So great even with all the celebrity cameos. A must see!
Healthy is in style!
Was one of your 2010 resolution's to start eating healthier? Well here's a fun and delicious recipe to keep you on track. I have to thank my mom for introducing me to this quick and easy recipe. She was at a restaurant where she got this idea and decided to put her own twist and make it budget friendly. Who likes paying $10+ for a salad anyways. Now, I find myself whipping up this salad whenever I start to feel hungry or as an appetizer. Salads can be so boring, but adding a few of your favorite ingredients can make it 10x better. Also, it can be put together in a pretty display because of the vibrant colors and ingredients.
The ingredients are as follow: A spring mix salad (We use Organic's in the sealed box. It lasts longer than the bags.), Sliced Strawberries, Marie's Raspberry Vinaigrette, and President's Crumbled Feta Cheese.
Put in a bowl and ta dah, enjoy!
A Luxxe Drink
Going to work in Los Angeles can be hectic. Known for its infamous traffic, one day I can be super early to work or barely making it on time. Traffic in LA is pretty random so I like to leave an hour early and spend some time at a nearby lounge where coffee and a reading spot are accessible.
Usually I hit Starbucks, but I found this new spot called Caffe Luxxe, a quiet little place where if you drive by you will surely miss it. So, I ordered a prosciutto sandwich and their most popular drink: A cappuccino with a rosetta. The rosetta is the milk foam art, usually the barista's "signature". Check out their website for other designs. Mine was a heart. Too precious! Though, this happiness does come at a price. Sadly, these visits will be kept at a minimum.
Know any lounge spots that I would like?? Please let me know!
Pop goes the weasel!
Lollipops are out and Cake Pops are in! I found this gem of a website, Bakerella, and can't get over the fun and tasty recipes on them! I can't wait to bring out my inner suzy homemaker and make these sweet things. Not only does the site feature cake pops, but they also feature cupcake pops and cheesecake pops. Look at the bottom picture of an inside of a cheesecake pop and tell me that doesn't make you drool! Bakerella has all the simple recipes to make these creations and also where you can find all the extra items (lollipop sticks, candy melts, edible ink pens, and fondant). The site also shows step by step pictures to guide you along the baking process. I love that, allows for less error!
These pops will make for the perfect gift or favors at a party! Looking for a traditional dessert recipe? The site also has recipes for pies, brownies, cakes, cookies, and breakfast items!
Here are the recipes for the pops below: Spring Chickens, Don't Lick, bite..., Cupcake Pops, Cheesecake Pops

Sushi lover? Then read on...
Ever since I left San Marcos, I'm always on the search for a new sushi spot in Los Angeles. Requirements
include cheap, but delicious all wrapped up in a cute place. Lo and behold, I think I may have found 2 spots to die for!
First up is the famous Katsuya. Yeah I know what you're thinking, "what, Katsuya is definitely not cheap" but I'm talking about their Happy Hour. While portions can be small, they are melt in your mouth status. The Happy Hour menu takes place weekdays from 5-7PM at the bar. So, you ask "What do I order?" Well for food, musts are the crispy rice and rock shrimp tempura roll. And for drinks, the watermelon cucumber refresher is simply amazing. Also, their most popular drink is the Burning Mandarin. Sadly, it isn't on the happy hour menu so girls... this is your time to flirt with the bartender and make it happy hour price!
Hungry yet? I bet. On to numero dos. This sushi spot not only has the Happy Hour Menu, but features the menu everyday from 12-9:30PM! The place is Crazy, Rock'N Sushi and located on Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood. Massive amounts of deliciousness was ordered and the bill was dirt cheap.
P.S. Both Places passed the test for yummy mochi as well. Vanilla is my favorite!

Now I ask, what are your favorite sushi places?
