Say Cheese in 30 mins. flat
In honor of my Berry Me? Post, I had to create something berry yummy ;) Thanks to an AllRecipes.com Recipe, my mini cheesecakes came to life. I decided to do a full cupcake shape, but if you have a mini cupcake pan the better! 15 mins to prepare and 15 mins to cook. Let cool and you have your quick and easy dessert. However, it tasted best for me when left overnight in the fridge. Top with a fruit for that extra sweet bite!
Wrap in a pretty cupcake holder for that pretty effect. Wish I had these from Bake it Pretty. So cute!

Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes!
Did anyone catch the Food Network yesterday? They had a special on all things cupcakes and The Treats Truck in NYC featured this neat little recipe called Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes! What a fun treat for summer and so easy to make! Guests won't know what's coming when they bite into these treats.
What you need:
Ice Cream Cones
Cake Mix
Icing
Toppings
Here's a simple recipe from TLC, but I loved what the Treats Truck's owner had to share on The Food Network. Here's Kim's tips: For a little extra surprise put some icing at the bottom of the cone. Also, instead of baking the cake inside of the cones, Kim had the cake already baked and then inserted in the cones with a cylinder scooper. A thin layer of icing is then spread on top. Then stick a small chunk of cake to the icing and surrounded with more icing. This top layer of icing should be made to look like Ice Cream. Ta-da!
Also, searching around online, I found this cake pan that's in shape of ice cream cones. Another way to kick up a notch! Don't forget a nice tray or create one with holes to insert the cones. A sweet way to finish the presentation.
Noodle Heaven
Hey foodies! These Garlic Noodles from Crustacean Restaurant in Beverly Hills are a must try. I've had them twice in the last month and each time my tummy is in utter happiness. While they might look a little bleak, the taste is savoring. Mmm...
What I love even more about this recipe is that it's founded by a group of Vietnamese woman and they are the only ones in the world who know the recipe. Each An Family restaurant has a 'Secret Kitchen' in which the founders do the cooking. No chefs, staff, or managers are even allowed in this separate and secret room. This family recipe is well protected! I don't blame them!
Take a Seat
It never hurts to re-familiarize yourself with the proper table setting guidelines every now and then. With several set-up options, it can all get confusing! Being in the Wedding biz, I finding myself at many tastings and set-up is crucial. Also, it's imperative for a planner to know the proper layout. When you throw your next dinner party, setting the table will be easy as pie! Guests in the hospitality business will appreciate your knowledge.
No matter what here are some tips from the etiquette guru, Emily Post.
- Utensils are placed in the order of use, that is, from the outside in. Forks go to the left of the plate, and knives and spoons go to the right.
- Holding your hands in front of you, touch the tips of your thumbs to the tips of your forefinergers to make a lower case ‘b’ with your left hand and a lower case ‘d’ with your right hand. This reminds you that ‘bread and butter’ go to the left of the place setting and ‘drinks’ go on the right.
- Knife blades always face the plate
The Whisper Restaurant and Lounge a Golden Treasure!!!
So I recently celebrated my 22 birthday with a special friend and our first stop was the Whisper Restaurant and Lounge! Loved the service, the food and the decor. The restaurant decor has a romantic feel with dim lights and and intimate settings.
Located at the Grove LA in West Hollywood I have a feeling this golden treasure is going to become a celeb hot spot fast!
Celebs such as KimKardashian, Kris Jener and the whole cast of DWTS (which were in attendance on my bday!) are constantly spotted dining at this 1940's inspired restaurant.

The best part about this new celeb hot spot is that the prices are affordable! If you are looking for a great lounge to relax and grab a drink at or take your honey on a romantic night out check out the Whisper Restaurant and Lounge. I give them two thumbs up and all around golden stars!

P.S. I recommend the blueberry lemon-drop martini its to die for!
to my friend who made this possible Merci Beaucoup!
Louie Trip
No, not to Louis Vuitton. We wish!! We hit up Bottega Louie for some food and drinks after work. We are busy working gals, so this was a nice outing for us to catch up and talk about new Le Petite projects. Boy, do we have some major plans in the works. So thank you readers for keeping up with us, we appreciate your time :-)
Here's a post from both of us:
Bottega Louie is this super chic restaurant and bakery in Downtown LA. It had a good vibe, whether you need a quick bite for lunch or having a date night. Ja'toi and I weren't amazed by the food, maybe because the prices were a little on the expensive side, but we definitely came out happy and full. Also, the service was superb. My water glass was never empty and the waiters made us feel special. Ja'toi had a drink made especially for her from the bar mixologist. Talk about delish! As for food, we ordered the Tomato Bruschetta and Margherita Pizza. See the yummy photos below.
Loved checkin out Bottega Louie with Erica Espana! We had such a productive meeting together and even met Kristen Bell! She is absolutely so sweet and amazing. After convincing the extremely cute manager to get me a specialized drink I definitely enjoyed my trip a little more. My strawberry pineapple Ja'toi cocktail was the highlight of my night. (yes, I named the drink after me!) Although quickly figured out this high end restaurant is about their great customer service but less about their under portioned expensive food!
Happy Sushi Hours
New Sushi food pick: RA Sushi in Tustin. I first had my reservations about this place because of the reviews, but you know what this place deserves more credit! While not the best, definitely great for its happy hour prices and chic atmosphere. Happy Hour takes place Monday-Saturday from 3pm-7pm. I love the days/hours! The Happy Hour Menu has dirt cheap prices allowing you to order a great amount and stay under $25 for two! Even with drinks! Start off with some great appetizers like the Kaisen Ceviche or Vegetable/Shrimp Tempura. Then on to the must haves: Tootsy Maki, California Rolls, and Tuna Nigiri and you'll have a happy tummy.
Here's me & the love this past weekend at Ra. Another plus, located in a great shopping area and across the street from the movie theaters. We also saw Valentine's Day the Movie. So great even with all the celebrity cameos. A must see!
Healthy is in style!
Was one of your 2010 resolution's to start eating healthier? Well here's a fun and delicious recipe to keep you on track. I have to thank my mom for introducing me to this quick and easy recipe. She was at a restaurant where she got this idea and decided to put her own twist and make it budget friendly. Who likes paying $10+ for a salad anyways. Now, I find myself whipping up this salad whenever I start to feel hungry or as an appetizer. Salads can be so boring, but adding a few of your favorite ingredients can make it 10x better. Also, it can be put together in a pretty display because of the vibrant colors and ingredients.
The ingredients are as follow: A spring mix salad (We use Organic's in the sealed box. It lasts longer than the bags.), Sliced Strawberries, Marie's Raspberry Vinaigrette, and President's Crumbled Feta Cheese.
Put in a bowl and ta dah, enjoy!
