Hello from Twine!

high res Twine Events Logo

After a year in the making, my website has finally made its appearance! This labor of love is definitely not possible without all the encouragement and inspiring vendor friends that have guided me to this launch. I was able to collaborate with such talented professionals in the industry and couldn't be more grateful. Looking forward to 2012 and more lovely couples!

Take a peek at the website to see my recent weddings and photo shoot projects. www.TwineEvents.com

A big thank you to my wonderful beau for programming my website. So patient and kind. We are also looking to collaborate more on our wedding websites, 5tiers. Perfect for the couples looking for a sleek and modern, informative wedsite for their guests. More fun layouts designed by the beau and I! P.S. My website was also designed by moi. A great and heartwarming feat for me!

Fun with Calligraphy!

I'm about to finish my first calligraphy course and it has been a whirlwind. The style taught was italic, the most popular yet hardest style in calligraphy. Now I can understand why! It's like learning how to write again with plenty of rules to make your head spin. However, after you catch on and you start to see the progress it's a great feeling!

With our first "artwork" piece and not being able to use gird paper, it was a challenge. A four hour process that included practicing, writing, lining, paste stubbing, lining again, and ultimately the final writing! Took me two tries, but here's the final piece. Not too shabby for my first class and piece with no grid paper....

Cheers to my next course in a couple of weeks! Hopefully we get to learn Copperplate. The pretty style!

Real Wedding: Sneak Peek at San Ysidro Ranch

My new event planning + design website is underway....I'm thrilled to launch it and aiming for its debut in mid-October to early November (hopefully!)

Meanwhile, I got a sneak peek of my bride's wedding from photographer Gia Canali. So much beauty oozing from my computer screen. Here are two photos of the location and my bride walking down the aisle with her father. So blessed to have such a gracious and fun bride. She was so beautiful inside and out. Also, if you haven't been to San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, you are missing out! Go for the day and you'll absolutely get lost in its charm and elegance from the lavender fields to serene cottages. You'll be in your own little heaven.

I can't wait to show you more! xo!

Home Loveliness in Process!

Why hello there. I've missed you blog. Lots of changes and fun things happening that has kept me from you. It's been a month now since my boyfriend and I settled in our new place in Santa Monica. A 15 minute walk to the beach is magical. We are  definitely earning "beach bum" statuses.

As a big decor and interior design junkie, this place has been a dream project. I cannot wait till it's complete and feels homey. I'm not at the point yet where I want people to visit because "It's not finishedddd". I know, silly, but I want a semi-complete feeling... Hopefully, my vision comes across on my little striving budget. Definitely a challenge. With a boy involved, balance is key too. My love for vintage, bohemian chic must meet his modern, simple style. Tough, but fun!!

On a happy note, my bride's wedding is finally near. A year's planning all coming to make its appearance next weekend in beautiful Montecito, CA. I can't wait to share! Stay tuned. xo.

Here are a few sneak peek photos!

Style Muse: Olivia P.

Her style is impeccable and meticulous. Whether Olivia Palermo is running errands, at a job, or a gala she is sure to turn heads. Every piece of item is well thought out and always fitted to the occasion. She's even got the handsome boyfriend to match (last photo)! I especially love that she looks ultra comfortable in all her outfits. You would never know a size of clothing is too big or small or a blister is brewing. Oh, to be an American Socialite, rough life... At least she carries herself well. Thank you for the fashion inspiration!

Spice up your room: Wallpaper

The days are near where I get to be creating vision boards for the rooms in my new place. I can't wait to move out again and have the option to really decorate and settle comfortably. I truly love a well decorated room and someone who has the interior design skills! One thing I do enjoy seeing is the use of design wallpaper. A bathroom would be the perfect place to try out these kinds of designs. A great design worthy backdrop with simple white touches. The white touches being the towels in a woven basket, small flower arrangement, soap & tray, and candles. How soothing and luxurious does this sound?? The next post on wallpaper will be my actual walls...stay tuned, but don't hold your  breath! ;-)

Little, Dainty Necklaces

I think every girl needs something dainty and pretty to grace their neck.  These little gems will do the job. Just enough to make you feminine and romantic everyday without making a statement.

Nail Polish Power

Chip. Smear. Dent. Nick. Smudge.

More than half will happen to me by the end of the week when I get a manicure. At least one by the time I get home from salon place. No, I'm not a total klutz... I try so hard not to smudge my newly painted nails, yet a mishap happens. I finally found two amazing solutions! An affordable and a luxe option.

What I love about both: no dry time and long-lasting!

sally-hansen-

Sticker Strips

The first, and sensible priced option are Sally Hansen's Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips. These "sticker strips" are applied to your nails and fitted to size with a mini file-buffer and cuticle stick. With fun graphics and colors, you'll have a set of star-worthy nails in no time. Super easy too. Suppose to last ten days. Currently, going on four...

Tip: Be extra thrifty and use the other side of the strip for another nail.

Gel Polish

Gel Polish

The luxe option is using Shellac Nail Polish. This new trend uses the Gel Appliquéd and UV Light to create shiny, luscious nails. Not all salons are offering it yet, so call in beforehand to check. I was able to leave without any worry about banging them. My nails have never been so perfect and lasted 3 weeks! The only downside, it's a little work to remove the polish. So worth it!
